I submit the Coconut Pumpkin Chiffon Pie (credited to Barbara Delaney of Columbia, MD) as a defense of the humble and ubiquitous pumpkin pie.

This is an old faithful. A national standard. I like it more each time I make it. It gets even better when served with a dry Riesling. This is a Good Pie (TM).
